Thomas Ohki
Senior Scientist
Tom received a B.S. degree in Physics from the University of Rochester in 1999 and Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Rochester in 2006 under the supervision of Prof. Marc Feldman and Prof. Mark Bocko. He was a post-doctoral researcher at Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden from 2006-2008, where he continued his work in the area of superconducting circuits and quantum devices with Prof. Anna Herr and Prof. Per Delsing. During this time he has also working in the areas of plasma physics at the Laboratory for Laser Energectics and also explored semiconducting materials properties at the Army Research Laboratory. His work since Rochester has been primarily focused on the development and applications of superconducting devices for quantum information, microwave systems and digital technologies.
While at Raytheon BBN he has lead various programs related to superconducting materials studies, exploring scaling issues for superconducting quanutm processors, developing corntrol hardware for qubits at room and cryogenic tempertures and most recently novel cryogenics spintronics devices for memory applications.
