Blake Johnson

Staff Scientist

Blake Johnson graduated magna cum laude in physics from Harvard University in 2004. As an undergrad, he worked for several years under Prof. Mike Tinkham studying DC transport in superconducting nanowires. Blake went on to do his Ph.D. work at Yale University under Prof. Rob Schoelkopf. His work there included experiments demonstrating basic quantum algorithms and improved readout techniques with superconducting qubits, as well as using the same class of device for novel quantum optics experiments such as demonstrating single photon sources and absorption-less photon detectors. Blake defended his dissertation in Sept 2010 and joined BBN immediately thereafter.
