BBN has a long history on evaluating emerging medical imaging technologies, including authoring the book that has become the standard reference.
BBN conducted research to develop feature-based decision-aiding systems for image-based diagnosis of breast cancer, liver cancer, and prostate cancer staging. We also developed the first stereoscopic digital mammography system, currently in clinical trial and demonstrating dramatic improvements over standard screening mammography.
