BBN Technologies Named to Globe 100's Top Places to Work '08

— BBN Technologies, an advanced technology solutions firm, announced today that it has been named one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts in the debut of an employee-based survey project from The Boston Globe. The Globe 100’s Top Places to Work magazine was published in the Sunday Globe on November 9. Online, the report can be found at boston.com/topworkplaces.

The Top Places to Work recognizes the most progressive companies in the state based on employee opinions about company leadership, compensation and training, diversity/inclusion, career development, family-friendly flexibility, and values and ethics. The rankings are based on survey information collected by Workplace Dynamics, an independent company specializing in employee engagement and retention, from 120,000 employees at about 600 Massachusetts organizations.

BBN Technologies was ranked number four for flexibility and number eight in its size category.

"This honor is based on the opinions of people who are in the best position to judge—our employees," said Tad Elmer, president and CEO, BBN Technologies. "It is our exceptional staff that performs the innovative technical work we are known for, so it is good to know that they value the culture here and the programs we have put in place to make this a great place to work."

The publisher of The Boston Globe, Steve Ainsley, stated, "All the companies included in the Globe 100’s Top Places to Work deserve a great deal of recognition. It’s clear that they value their employees and make it a priority to create a positive workplace."
